Juan Sánchez: "Now is a time for everybody to stay at home, to beat this virus soon"
Juan Sánchez is the latest Valencia CF veteran to send out a message to fans during the global COVID-19 outbreak. With Spain officially under lockdown since last Monday, the former striker has encouraged people to obey the guidelines from the government and stay indoors.
“I want to give a message of support and calm to the Valencia CF fans, and to the general public,” he said via VCF Media.
“Now is a time for everybody to stay calm at home, in order to beat this coronavirus soon. Together we are going to do it, and soon we will have a normal life. Amunt Valencia!”
Sánchez, who debuted for the club on October 25th, 1992 in a game against FC Barcelona, played 208 official matches for the club and scored 52 goals. He was featured in ‘Centenary Legends’ last year when the club turned 100 years old.
